How is the site organized?
The data collected by the federal government is made available at www.recovery.gov. However, it is reported only at the funding award level. Stimulus Tracker allows you to dig several levels deeper. Through the City’s website, you can drill into the details of the City’s ARRA funding, beginning with general categories and becoming more specific with every click. Funding is broken down into eight thematic categories, each of which is divided into several relevant subcategories. Within each subcategory, you will find a number of funding awards. Each award is broken into specific projects or programs. Each program or program, in turn, has its own dashboard page. This shows vital information such as (1) project status; (2) the percentage of total funds spents; (3) start dates and spending deadlines; and (4) of course, the number of jobs created or retained.
