How is the senior class speaker selected?
The senior class speaker for Commencement is chosen by the Senior Class Board and a panel of faculty members. All graduating seniors are invited to submit outlines of the speech they would like to present. Depending on the number of applicants, this group may be narrowed by the Senior Class Board, and the selected candidates are invited to actually give their speeches to the committee. The speaker is chosen from this group.
