How is the Rheos device designed to work?
The Rheos Device sends electrical signals through very thin wires to the vessels of the neck called the carotid arteries, where the baroreceptors are located. This trial is investigating whether activating the baroreflex with the Rheos Device is safe, can improve heart function, lower risk of death, increase quality of life, reduce the number of hospitalizations related to heart failure, and relieve heart failure symptoms.
