The strategic planning activities in which colleges and units have been engaged over the past three years have given us a good understanding of our strengths and weaknesses at the college and unit levels. In addition, the work undertaken by the four Strategic Action Plan Goal Teams has moved us forward with recommendations and actions to help us attain the goals. We are now ready, through the RFI process, to look across the institution at how we might improve and possibly reorganize ourselves to ensure high-quality outcomes with a more focused scope that will allow us to be sustainable, vibrant, and vital. While the college and unit-level work with their strategic plans will certainly continue, we cannot limit ourselves by remaining focused solely within these parameters.
