How is the residence hall supervised?

The Director of Housing and Residence Life is responsible for the daily management of the residence hall. Residence hall floors are staffed by undergraduate or graduate Resident Assistants (RAs). Halls have one RA per floor. RAs are responsible for working with students to create and maintain a community conducive to academic, social, and personal needs. RAs are expected to confront violations of university policy, act as role models, and encourage residents to take responsibility for their own actions/choices, and encourage respect and appreciation for each other. The main desk is staffed by student receptionists responsible for checking out recreational or cleaning equipment, issuing spare keys, sorting mail, answering questions, and attending to administrative tasks assigned by the Director.
