How is the phase 1 test structured?
During phase 1, participants must complete a 60 minute online exam that includes 70 theoretical exam questions and 10 questions based on a Packet Tracer activity. The Phase One PT Activity is embedded within the Phase One Exam and Contestants must complete both the activity and all 80 questions within the 60 minute timeframe. Packet Tracer 5.3 is required to complete this phase. As students answer the questions, they will be able to see how much time has elapsed. The clock starts as soon as the first question appears on the screen. The test is automatically disabled after 60 minutes. It is important to submit scores before the time runs out. We highly recommend taking the test on a computer with a fast and stable Internet connection. Participants can reconnect up to two (2) times. If after the second attempt a participant disconnects from the network or closes the browser, he or she will be disqualified.
