How is the OV-Watch® different from other ovulation predictor test kits?
For the past decade or so, the standard ovulation prediction test involved checking the presence of leutenizing hormones or LH in one’s urine. This kind of ovulation prediction test only reveals a small window of fertility. Using this type of ovulation prediction test can be messy, frustrating and stressful as it requires one to urinate on a test strip or digital wand. Other ovulation predictors women use include charting one’s temperature over several months or keeping track of the increased cervical mucus and mild ovulation cramps that can also signal ovulation is near. This type of charting to calculate ovulation really depends upon the fastidiousness of the individual, and is often prone to human error.
