How is the ombuds office different from the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?
While some issues that the Ombuds Office and EAP handle do overlap, the Ombuds Office provides conflict resolution approaches to workplace issues and related policies and practices. The EAP generally provides assistance with personal issues such as stress, health concerns, substance abuse, or family concerns that may be affecting job performance.
