How is the OE on FNOD distributed?
A5: Sometimes they are found in clusters, sometimes they appear as single anomalies, and other times they appear as pits and trenches. This is consistent with explosive disposal of munitions in trenches and pits. Items get “Kicked Out” during the demolition process, scattering scrap and some OE to either side of the trench or around the pit. Fortunately the items kicked out are still near the surface and easily located, and the concentrations in the trenches and pits are also easily located.
