How is the Nursing Assistant Program a “Stepping Stone” to my future?
Successful completion of the program prepares the student to take the National Nurse Aid Assessment Program (NNAAP) in Washington State. Successful completetion of the examination allows for both gainful employment as a NAC and meets the NAC certification requirement for application into the BBCC Level I Associated Degree Nursing program. Completion of the four quarter Level I program then allows the student to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing. This educational ladder concept provides an opportunity for the student to begin in the NAC program and advance through the Licensed Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs.
