How is the Niagara to GTA Corridor study coordinated with the GO Transit expansion planning studies?
The NGTA Project Team continues to coordinate our corridor planning efforts with the ongoing feasibility studies being undertaken by GO Transit. Any decisions to extend GO service into Niagara Region will be included in the key deliverable for the NGTA project ~ a Transportation Development Strategy for the corridor that links the Niagara frontier to the GTA. Detailed questions on GO Transit expansion studies should be referred to Mr. Greg Ashbee, GO Transit, Manager – Infrastructure Expansion Planning.
The NGTA study team continues to coordinate corridor planning efforts with the studies being undertaken by GO Transit. Any decisions to extend GO Rail service into Niagara Region permanently will be included in the Transportation Development Strategy. In addition, the Draft Transportation Development Strategy includes recommendations for transit services / infrastructure expansion to be pursued by GO Transit / Metrolinx.
