How is the NCRG’s research program run and how are topics selected?
All of the grant-making functions for NCRG-funded grants are managed by the Institute for Research on Gambling Disorders. Modeled after the National Institutes of Health, the Institute, with direction from a scientific advisory board, convenes independent panels of peer reviewers to evaluate research proposals and determine which proposals will receive funding. Detailed information about the Institute’s grant-making process is available at www.gamblingdisorders.org.
