Additional costs of children are based on the age of the youngest child and the ages of both spouses and therefore varies. Example: Retiree, age 43, spouse age 41, and a youngest child 10, the monthly cost factor is .00055. Multiply this factor by the base amount and you get the additional cost for child coverage.
