How is the money divided among the winners in the Payback classes?
The top two stallions are awarded 10% of the prize money. Another 5% will go towards the new PAYBACK YOUNG SPORT HORSE FUTURITY. The remaining 85% is divided by the number of Payback classes (currently 9), then awarded to the winners as follows: Champion 60% Reserve Champion 40% Example: If there is $20,000 raised for the year, then $2,000 is awarded for the stallions, with $1,000 going to each of the top two sires. The remaining $18,000 is divided by 9 (the number of classes) for $2,000 for each class.
