How is the Mate of the Intimidator paid?
Please remember that the mate on each deep sea fishing charter works for tips and fish cleaning money. A really good mate can make all the difference in the trip. Some of his duties will include rigging the tackle daily, catching live bait, cutting bait, teaching first timers how to fish and helping the old salt out with any new tricks or tactics that may be beneficial to make for a more successful deep sea fishing charter. They will usually arrive about one hour ahead of our scheduled departure time and may not leave until several hours after you leave. We kindly suggest 15-20% of the total fare paid, plus fish cleaning is $.30 per pound.
