How Is the Kermit FTP Client Different from Regular FTP Clients?

0

Previous versions of C-Kermit and Kermit 95 already supported a wide variety of connection methods and protocols, as well as a general-purpose communications oriented scripting language. It was relatively easy to add an FTP client over the existing TCP/IP interface and command language. The principal advantages are: • It’s innately scriptable. • For text-mode transfers, it can convert among a wide variety of character sets. • A full range of Internet standard security methods are built in. • It’s friendlier than other command-line FTP clients (built-in help, menu on demand, etc). • Automatic per-file text/binary mode switching and tons of other unique features.

What is your question?
