How is the In Less Skilled Occupation number determined?
Each worker’s primary occupation in 2008 was compared with all occupations in which they had four quarters of prior experience in the years 2006 through 2008. If the worker had four quarters of experience in an occupation, but was employed in 2008 in an occupation requiring less education, training or experience, then they are counted as potential supply since they are currently “underemployed”.
