The Humane Society of Logan County is governed by a nine member Board of Directors. Seven of the Directors are elected by the general membership at the annual meeting in January. Two Board members are appointed on an as needed basis by the Board of Directors because the two appointed members have specific needed knowledge. Each elected Board member is elected for a two year term with four elected in even number years and three elected in odd numbered years. The officers of the organization are President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Secretary. Each are elected for a one year term and may run for re-election. The Board meets once a month. All Board meetings are conducted using Robert’s Rules of Order. Members of the Humane Society of Logan county may request to be placed on the agenda to address the Board regarding any concerns or questions. Meetings of the general membership are held in January and July each year for election of Board members, annual reports, and general information
