The HS must be fully frozen to deliver the most effective power. Typical freezers vary, but you can expect recharge times of 5-6 hours in ‘household’ freezer, approximately3-4 hours gets the job done in a commercial style freezer. The vests are rated to -50 F so using cryogenic gases like CO2 (dry ice) will void your warranty, so be extremely cautious. Many people still use CO2 /dry ice against our recommendations and seem to have no problems when they let the vests warm up for 5-10 minutes before flexing it in any way.
