Health Care Workers (HCW’s) apply lotion at the beginning of workday (after washing hands) and reapply every 3-4 hours or after a hard scrub (our Hand Sanitizing Lotion continues to kill pathogens for up to 4 hours and does not easily wash off). HCW’s should continue to follow HICPAC/SHEA hand wash guidelines to remove debris and generally keep hands clean.
