How is the Government investing in Victorian aquaculture?
Over the past decade the Victorian Government has contributed significant funding and resources to the development of the marine aquaculture industry. From 2004 to 2007 the government is contributing an additional $2 million to promote ecologically sustainable aquaculture development. A further $1.1 million has been allocated to expand marine aquaculture through the establishment of nine Aquaculture Fisheries Reserves (AFRs).
