How is the God’s Plan program different from other marriage preparation programs?
The God’s Plan program was created as a supplement, not as an all-encompassing marriage preparation program. It is intended to be used in conjunction with existing programs, expressly for the purpose of strengthening the two key areas of marriage preparation about which the Church is uniquely qualified to speak: the theology of marriage and human sexuality. The program is also the first known program to be based on Pope John Paul II’s revolutionary teachings known as the Theology of the Body. The Theology of the Body provides a compelling new “language” which marriage preparation professionals and teachers can use to present the Church’s vision of marriage and human sexuality.
