How is the final concrete color achieved?
The most common method of coloring is to apply a specially formulated concrete stain designed to seal the concrete and thus resist fading and protect against moisture penetration. After the precast sound wall is installed, a base color is applied with an airless spray gun. Then, accent colors are applied to individual shapes in the concrete to create the subtle yet realistic look of actual stone. The texture, including grout joints, is created in the mold itself.
