How is the field placement requirement fulfilled?
The College of Social Work has a number of approved field placement options throughout the LowCountry and Upstate areas. Students enrolled in either regional program are able to complete the field placement requirement in Charleston or Greenville and surrounding areas. Field does not begin until the second year; currently 16 hours per week of field placement is mandatory in the second and third year of the part time program. If a student is currently employed at a human service agency, it is possible for the field placement hours to be completed at the same location.
