How is the FHSM Duplex Fouling Release system different from other silicone foul release systems?
A The other silicone fouling release systems have a similar surface coat silicone to the FHSM. However, that is where the similarities end. The differences are three fold: • Due to the unique properties of the Tie Coat and the use of special bonding chemistries at the epoxy Tie Coat interface, the FHSM system has been engineered for superior adhesion and strength compared to the other silicone systems. This will translate into improved resistance to delamination and longer service life. • The FHSM system is thicker than competitive products ensuring superior strength, durability and life expectancy. • FHSM incorporates a superior release, proprietary silicone oil in the Surface Coat that creates a system where by very low fouling release speeds can be achieved. • The Duplex Fouling Release System has unique self-leveling characteristics that result in a super-smooth surface.
