How is the facial implant procedure performed?
Once anesthesia is administered, incisions are made which are hidden. For chin augmentation, the incision may be located inside of the lower lip or just beneath the chin. For cheek augmentation, the incision may be made inside of the upper lip or on the lower eyelid. The implant is then inserted through the incision, positioned, and the incision is closed.
