How is the Entrust Certificate Management Service licensed?
The Entrust Certificate Management Service is available in two licensing options: Pooling and Non-pooling. Pooling: Allows the management of a specific number of concurrent certificates over the term of the subscription. Pooling accounts allow the selection of specific certificate expiry dates and the re-use of certificate licenses to maximize usage. When a certificate expires or is deactivated, its license goes back into the pool for future use. The Pooling license does not allow use of the certificates once the subscription expires. Non-pooling: Allows the management of a specific number of certificate-year licenses. Certificate-year licenses can be used to issue certificates ranging from one to four years in duration. Certificate-year licenses must be used within one year of purchase. There is no subscription term so the subscriber has the right to use all issued certificates for the full term of the certificate’s validity.
