A. For Enhanced Mini-ACE™, the protocol and RAM self-tests may be initiated by means of the Start/Reset Register (write only, register address 03). In particular, to initiate the RAM self-test, you would write a value of logic “1” to bit 9 of this register. To initiate the protocol self-test, you would write a value of logic “1” to bit 7.
