How is the Elapsed Time of the Team TT determined?
Team riders line up at the Start, side by side. Team riders MUST finish within two bicycle lengths to qualify as a team. The front wheel of the second rider stops the clock and determines the Elapsed Time. Remember that drafting provides a 30% reduction in work effort at race speeds. You need a team member of exactly equal strength ONLY if you intend to lead exactly 50% of the time.
