how is the duke summer program for high school students?
My son is at TIP now, too. While we haven’t heard from him yet this term, he loved it last year, so we’re hopeful that it will be at least as good as it was last summer. His sister attended for three years and loved all three of her summers there. We highly recommend it. I will say that I think part of what made it a positive experience is that they went with an interest in studying something they’d never find in high school, and not with an aim to advance one more year in math or something. I’m not sure they would have enjoyed it quite as much if they were just going to fulfill a course in a math sequence, although the social aspect would have been equally good.
