How is the draft order decided?
The first round of the draft is determined randomly. The subsequent rounds follow a serpentine format. In a serpentine format, the order of teams reverses each round. The team with the first pick in the draft would draft first, the team with the second pick would draft second, and so on through the last pick in the round. In round 2, the team with the last pick in round 1 would pick first. While the team with the first pick in round 1 would pick last. Example: Round One: 4,1,3,2,5 (determined randomly) Round Two: 5,2,3,1,4 Round Three: 4,1,3,2,5 Round Four: 5,2,3,1,4 And so on until the end of the draft.
