How is the Dow Jones High Yield Select 10 Index weighted?
The index is equal-dollar-weighted, meaning each component stock is initially given equal weight in the index. These weights are assigned In December, after the components have been selected, and are then allowed to change over the course of the year based on fluctuations in the stock prices. The following December, when the new index composition is established, the components are again assigned equal weights.
