How is the demand portion of the incentive determined?

The demand incentive is $50/kw and is applied to the average monthly on-peak demand savings. Average monthly on-peak demand savings is estimated using engineering analysis as described below: – Average monthly on-peak kW savings = average monthly on-peak kW for the baseline system – average monthly on peak kW for the proposed system, where average monthly on-peak kW = (sum of the 12 monthly maximum on-peak kW)/12, where monthly maximum on-peak kW = highest of all 15 minute average kW for on-peak hours (defined in customer’s electric service tariff schedule), where 15 minute average kW = (sum of kwh used over 2.5 hour)/0.25 hour.
