A Detailed instructions with photos are included with your fairing. Here is a brief summary to give you an idea of what is involved. Road King models: First, remove the seat and dash. Connect the 2 wire nuts at the end of the wiring harness to the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Run the wiring harness up over the fuel tank underneath the dash area. Ignition on/accessory on power is obtained from the main power switch in the dash. Using the provided wire-tap, connect the 3rd wire from the wiring harness to the wire under the switch that is powered when the switch is in IGN ON and ACC ON positions. Install mounting clip on right forward portion of the frame utilizing an existing screw that holds a J-strap there. Slip connector from the wiring harness onto the mounting clip. Reinstall dash and seat. Softail models: Unlike Road King models, the stock Softail dash does not extend all the way to the seat. Instead there is a black plastic cover between the seat and the dash.
