How is the cropland treated differently in organic farming?
Absolutely no pesticides or herbicides can be used. Only fertilizers from organic sources or naturally occurring in the earth can be used. All products must be approved by the certifying agency. There is a list that can be referred to as well. The critical thing is to always contact the certifier if there is any question.
