How is the communications industry in Northern Ireland competing in the current economic climate?

No organisation, large or small is unaffected by the double whammy of the global credit crunch and economic slowdown. For BT we are and will continue to react to these new challenges and as a result the business is going reasonably well. There is no doubt we are seeing a decline in consumer confidence and organisations are evaluating every cost line, however whilst this challenges some of what we do it also offers plenty of opportunity as communications and technology offer both individuals and organisations ways of reducing their overall costs and improving the service they offer to their customers.
