How is the CO2 supposed to be stored?
The key to success is the separation and storage of CO2. A combined cycle power plant produces more than two million metric tons of CO2 per year. This forces us to chart new territory in developing a CO2 storage facility with the right dimensions. Decommissioned gas storage facilities and deep saline aquifer storage sites are potential CO2 storage options.
