How is the climate in West Lafayette?
During summer West Lafayette is usually hot and humid during July. Business casual clothes are recommended. The Tuesday night steak barbecue will be an informal outdoor picnic. The Thursday night banquet is somewhat more formal but because everyone is generally coming directly from the technical sessions, formal clothes are not required. Some people do wear ties and coats but it is not necessary. All meeting rooms are air-conditioned and many of our European visitors find them VERY chilly.
