How is the CAP involved with Homeland Defense?
Since the Office of Homeland Security was enacted in October of 2001, CAP has provided patrols over the 2001 Winter Olympics in Utah, and expressed to the Department of Defense that CAP can be the “Eyes of the Home Skies”. Since then, the CAP hasn’t been tasked with any specific Homeland Security missions.
