How is the Bookshelf related to PubMed?
Bookshelf and PubMed each use a different database (Bookshelf uses the Books database), but both databases are part of one system—the Entrez system. Entrez is a search engine run by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), which is part of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), under the guidance of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
