Both the Benjamin 392 and Benjamin 397 are considered the gold standard for multi-pump pneumatic airguns. Both guns produce around 12-13 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. That’s plenty of power for hunting small game animals (rabbits and squirrels) if you limit yourself to head-shots. Accuracy is reported to be quite good. (I’ve heard 1-inch groups at 25-30 yards are the norm if you’re careful.) Durability is excellent. For hunting, which is better really depends on whether you prefer your airguns to shoot .177 or .22 caliber pellets. Given the relatively low muzzle velocities of these guns, I think .177 offers some advantages (mainly the flatter trajectory which makes range estimation and accurate shot placement easier). However .22 also has some advantages stemming from the bigger wound channels it leaves.
