How is the audition process like in RADA?

The RADA audition process is quite long, you can have up to four auditions. At your first audition at RADA you perform two contrasting monologues that you have prepared, one classical/Shakespearean and the other contemporary. Then you may or may not have a short interview asking why you want to go to drama school, why you chose RADA etc. In you second audition you perform your two pieces again. You must perform the same peices that you did in your first audition. You then need to perform a song accapella and then you will have another interview where they will ask more about you, what you enjoy doing, so that they can get to know a little about what kind of person you are. If you are lucky to be called back again, then you will either have to perform one of your two pieces (they will decide which) and then they will direct you on this piece so that they can see how you take direction. They might ask you questions on your interpretation on the piece, they might change the piece entirely
