The attendance incentive for Certificated personnel is determined according to District policy (DP354). What absences count against the incentive: According to the policy all sick leave (including family sick leave) and personal days count against the incentive. No other leave (including alternative, bereavement, professional, district assignment, etc.) is counted. How the amount is calculated: A pool of money is created by taking the average value of a “no pay” day (minus the cost of a substitute) multiplied by the number of “no pay”days taken. This is the total amount available to fund the incentive Each employee who has 0 – 2 qualifying absences (rounded up) is assigned a point value by policy: 0 = 5.5 point 1 = 3.0 point 2 = 1.5 point Total points earned is divided into the money available to get a dollar value per point.
