How is the Alliance able to move forward financially with its planning before a capital campaign has been completed?
The Alliance has a number of sources for its financial support. First, members of the Board of Directors have given their time and resources to a number of fundraisers that have accumulated the funds for the staffing and operation of the Alliance. Past and current members of the board are also contributing annually to a Nucleus Fund which is used for operations. The Alliance has also received support from the City of Waynesboro for some of the planning costs. The Augusta County Supervisors, NTELOS Foundation, the Virginia Commission for the Arts, and the Allstate Foundation, along with numerous other individual and corporate donors, have also provided ongoing support.
