How is the agreement between the supplier and consumer terminated?
If the power supply of a consumer remains disconnected for a period of two months for non payment of charges or dues or non compliance of any direction issued under the OERC Distribution (Conditions of Supply) Code and the consumer does not take any step to remove the cause, the agreement of the consumer with the supplier shall be deemed to be terminated, without notice. On termination of the agreement, the supplier can remove the service line and other appliances for supply of power from the premises of the consumer. The supplier will intimate the consumer about the disconnection within 7 days from the date of disconnection.
