How is the Affirm different from the Fraxel?
Both the Affirm and the Fraxel use fractional laser technology. The Affirm uses two distinct laser wavelengths to target all layers of the skin. Because two lasers are used, lower energies can be used to provide exceptional results while minimizing patient discomfort as well as recovery time. The Fraxel uses a deep penetrating single laser wavelength that can cause increased tissue damage. Overall, the Fraxel is more painful, the treatments take longer, and the recovery period is longer. In addition, there are no skin tightening benefits with the Fraxel.
