How is that having an impact on their understanding of math concepts?
Mrs. Lanier: Students developed Power Point games from scratch to enhance and extend learning in their math curriculum.(Thanks to ETTC for teaching me how to do this!) Students use Bloom’s ideas to create games so that they flow from lower to higher level thinking skills. Asking my challenge students to develop questions/problems that are at the upper end of Bloom’s Taxonomy gives them a deeper understanding of the math concepts. Increasing the Loti level of this lesson was easy to accommodate. Students were eager to use their variety of skills learned to increase the technology and the level of learning all at the same time. UGA ETTC: Why do you use technology in the teaching and learning process? Mrs. Lanier: I am lucky enough to have access to a variety of technology in the classroom. I feel that students learn best when they are engaged. Technology is that engagement! Students are interested in the new ideas and like the concept of having technology readily available to them in thi
