How is that going, training with Team USA and Coach Joe Vigil?
RS: It’s going great. I just feel lucky to be a part of this program. My dad was my high school coach and he used Coach Vigil’s methodology on me throughout high school from Vigil’s book Road to the Top. And I’ve even used some of those workouts from that book throughout my collegiate career too, so. And now I’m getting trained by Coach Vigil it’s just… It’s like if you having a class that’s taught by the professor that wrote that book. It’s just a great position to be in and I’m just excited and proud to be part of this program. MR: What is it like running at the altitude compared to with your sea-level training most of your life? RS: It really kicked my ass the first week out here. I think just the fourth day I was up here I did an eight-mile tempo run and it was brutal. And everything was just slower, recovery was a lot longer. I had to learn the hard way about recovery.
