I m not sure that we ll ever have a cashless society at least not in our lifetime. I think that people are too caught up with always having ready cash. However, I do think that significant changes are occurring. When you look at what s happening with the Web and the fact that two Internet companies are now part of the Dow Jones, clearly these represent significant changes. And we re experiencing the same thing at Diners Club. We have three customer sets in the company individual card members, corporations, and merchants and we can enhance the value proposition for all three by having electronic solutions for them. That s what we ve been looking to do. We are spending a great deal of time and thought on the opportunities presented by the Internet, asking ourselves these kinds of questions: How can we make it easier for people to do business?
