How is Terbutaline Administered?
Terbutaline is administered through a variety of means. As a short-term, emergency measure to halt preterm labor it is generally administered as an injection or intravenously in the hospital. For longer-term preventative treatment, terbutaline can be administered intravenously, orally in pill form, or through a device known as an infusion pump—the terbutaline pump.
